The Brigg 40 Parka is made from a heavy cotton twill base material (4.7 oz. per yard), coated with a specially formulated PVC (10.9 oz. per yard) for a total weight of 15.6 oz. per yard. Applications: All Commercial Fishing, Building and Road Construction, Timber Harvest, Agriculture, Mining, Shipyards, Forestry, Utilities.

One of the most awesome pieces of gear you can keep aboard the boat. Will withstand repeated contact with non-skid on the deck, occasional assaults by fishhooks (you can buy a Grunden patch kit), dorsal fins of fish, well, you get the idea. Is totally waterproof, and will clean up with a good hosing off. Available in bright orange so if the Coast Guard comes looking for you, you'll have a better chance than if you're wearing the green one. I've had mine for 5 years or so, and used it for off-shore fishing. Generally stays rolled up, and the outer layer has yet to crack. Despite all it's toughness, it has great freedom of movement. Warning to all the Chardonnay sippers and salty-dog-wannabes: You'll look like a true geek showing up for a whale-watching ride with this one. This is designed for the outdoorsman, not a leisurely walk to the bistro on Park Avenue for a cup of latte.
