This shoe is aesthetically superior to anything on the market, particularly the latest version, a unrivaled gem which sports a navy blue faux-suede. If you don't actually want to PLAY basketball in these, definitely get a pair. However, if you're using the shoe for its intended purpose, I hope you have narrow feet and strong ankles. As a huge fan of the original T-Macs (didn't get the T-Mac 2's because they were too narrow), I was hoping that the 3's would restore my faith in the shoe. I'm a serious baller - I play just about every day and participate in 3 corporate/city leagues. That being said, after only owning these shoes for just three few weeks, I had to return them because I sprained BOTH ankles (never happened with the T-Mac 1's) AND severely bruised my medial and plantar nerves (never happened in my life - ever). Though ankle injuries are all too common in basketball, these injuries did not occur in the typical "landed on someone's foot" fashion, which is cause for serious concern. I consulted my podiatrist on the issue and she informed me that my shoes provided poor support and suggested I look into a pair of New Balances. Additionally, the outside of the shoe will dig into your ankle if you lace your shoes up tightly, as there is no cushioning around the top rim of the shoe. Proceed with caution - do not be wowed by looks, particularly if you need support or have wider feet.
